Dossier ExtractMasimba Musodza is a Zimbabwean speculative fiction writer whose work bridges Shona folklore, social realism, horror, science fiction, and Afrofuturist thought. Writing across fiction, essays, and screen media, his stories explore memory, migration, identity, technology, and indigenous knowledge systems.
Born in Zimbabwe and later settling in Middlesbrough, England, he developed a literary approach that combines local cultural histories with global speculative traditions, becoming one of the first Zimbabweans to acquire professional screenwriting qualifications in Harare.
